Fallin’ for Fools & Horses

I’m sure a good majority of you have heard of them before, but for those of you unfortunate enough not to have the pleasure, allow me to introduce the Baltimore-based band Fools & Horses:

Pretty catchy, huh?

These guys are in no way just bursting onto the scene either. They’ve actually been around for about eight years now and have received a great amount of well-deserved attention and recognition.

The band opened for Bon Jovi back in 2006, they’ve been put on regular rotation on popular radio stations such as 98 Rock, their music has been featured on A&E and MTV and they were voted by Sam Sessa of the Midnight Sun as one of the 10 best unsigned Baltimore bands.

Personally, I had never heard of Fools & Horses until I had the privilege to watch them perform live at the Recher Theatre last year and I was pretty much blown away. Sadly, I wasn’t able to witness their entire set that night because of some regrettable actions taken by the group I was with that ultimately resulted in us getting kicked out.

Yeah, don’t ask.

But anyway, I sort of got a thing for bands that film their music videos out on the streets, especially if those streets are just a few miles away from me. As you can see from the well-produced video above, they’re jamming out on top of a roof with some of Baltimore’s skyline behind them and even pass by some recognizable spots such as McFaul’s Pub in Federal Hill.

They’ve got plenty of gigs coming up (one of which is happening tonight at Fado in D.C. at 9:30 p.m.) so if your interest in them is somewhat sparked or if you’re already a fan, you should definitely check out their MySpace page and hit up one of their shows.
