UPDATE: This contest is still going on. I haven’t decided completely on what the prize will be yet. However, I’m thinking it will be whatever album of the winner’s choice (although I’m sure you guys love to download stuff illegally) AND I will publish the winner’s talents on my blog. Any publicity is good publicity, am I right?
I’ve always been a huge fan of Eminem ever since his first major album. However, I’ve personally felt like his music just hasn’t been the same for a while now. It’s like the fiery passion he had while rapping just went away. I don’t really know why or how, but his talent and rapping abilities significantly dropped.
That is until I heard his verse on Drake’s song “Forever”.

I know, I know. That song has been played out for a while now. I myself get annoyed whenever it comes on the radio for what seems like the thousandth time in a single hour. But you’ve got to admit, you still jam out when it gets to the final verse with Eminem absolutely killing it.
Anyway, I’ve become so infatuated with his verse in “Forever” that I’ve decided to start up a contest based on it. And yes, there will be a prize, although I have yet to decide what it’s going to be, but rest assured it will be nice (<$20 nice, that is).
Alright so what I want you guys to do is record yourselves rapping Shady’s part in the song and either email it to me at imallearz@gmail.com or you can upload it to a website and post the link on a comment for this post. If you’ve got the ability to do so you can mix in the instrumental part of the song with your rapping or just do it a cappella like me. I did the uncut version, which you obviously can too, but be forewarned there’s plenty of naughty language and overall bad rapping.
I’ll be judging on the flow of your rapping, use of the correct lyrics, how into it you sound (passion in your voice) and, most importantly, if it’s pleasing to my ears. So go do work guys. I’ll be posting up whatever you all send me as soon as I get the chance. Also, I’m not sure how long this contest will last. I guess it all depends on you.
